LESS IS MORE
We focus on ways to REDUCE food waste, reduce usage of single use
plastics, and clarify recycling methods in our area.

The Less is More committee began in fall 2021 to explore food waste, recycling pathways, and resource use.

We are launching a campaign to encourage our community coffee shops to use compostable cups. We'll also
encourage people bring their own cups to coffee kiosks and shops, and work with other groups
in the area to support this effort.  Join us!

You can find out what we learned on a visit to Recycle Montana/4 Corners Recycling below
Article on findings from trip to Four Corners Recycling.

We believe that  REDUCTION in container materials is absolutely necessary,
along with clarification of recycling methods.

Great essay on history of plastic that focuses on 5 Myths about Plastic Use. Link to a PBS video on Recycling in Montana, describing what some communities in our state are doing to reduce waste in landfills.
