LESS IS MORE
We focus on ways to REDUCE food waste, reduce usage of single use
plastics, and clarify recycling methods in our area.

The Less is More committee began in fall 2021 to explore food waste, recycling pathways, and resource use.
You can find out what we learned on a visit to Recycle Montana/4 Corners Recycling below
Article on findings from trip to Four Corners Recycling.

Contact Katherine Dunlap (kdunlap406@gmail.com)
or Jo DeVries (jodevries@hotmail.com) for more info.

We believe that  REDUCTION in container materials is absolutely necessary,
along with clarification of recycling methods.

We're are preparing to launch a campaign to encourage our community to take their own CLEAN coffee cups
to their favorite shop for refills.
We'd also like those shops and other restaurants to switch to
compostable/reusable take out containers.

Great essay on history of plastic that focuses on 5 Myths about Plastic Use. Link to a PBS video on Recycling in Montana, describing what some communities in our state are doing to reduce waste in landfills.
