Winans School Goes Solar Our seventh community project began generating power in June 2022. Our children are the future, and energy savings will help their school provide the best education. Head Start Powered by the Sun In May 2021 a solar array arrived on our Head Start building, bringing more savings that benefit our community! Shane Solar Brings Savings Fall 2020 brought a new 50kW array to the Shane helping to create the strong financial base that brings us so many pleasures - performances, classes and events! Yellowstone Gateway Museum Goes Solar In spring 2020 the panels went up on our museum. The energy cost savings will help the museum preserve our precious heritage! Solar Powers our Wastewater Treatment Plant In January 2020 our Wastewater Treatment Center started collecting energy from the sun! YBCC is proud to have played a role in this new array. The energy savings will save ALL our county residents money. Senior Center Solar Up and Running! We’re proud that our YBCC partnership with the Senior Center resulted in a 50K solar array in summer 2017, a huge asset that will generate savings for the Center long into the future. Our Work Pays Off: Solar Panels on our Library YBCC secured a NorthWestern Energy grant for solar panels on our Park County Public library, and the panels went up in July 2016 on the southwest corner of the roof. The energy savings will benefit all library patrons while the real-time monitor inside provides education about solar benefits and energy use. |
