Senior Center Solar Up and Running!
We’re proud that our partnership with NW Energy, Montana DEQ and OnSite Energy has brought our Senior Center a 50K solar array, a huge asset that will generate savings for the Center long into the future.
Thanks to all who made this possible! Special thanks to the Park County Community Foundation for their award of a collaborative grant of $10,000, and to The Livingston Community Trust for a $3000 award. The YBCC - Senior Center partnership is a model for the kind of community collaboration we know is the best way forward. Thanks to new director Becky Bird, to former ED Nicole Divine, and the Senior Center Board for their commitment to this partnership.

Our Work Pays Off: Solar Panels on our Library
YBCC secured a NorthWestern Energy grant for solar panels on our Park County Public library, and the panels went up in late July 2016 (they can be glimpsed on the southwest corner of the building). The energy savings will benefit all library patrons while the real-time monitor inside provides education about solar benefits. YBCC partnered with Friends of the Library to host a celebration for the new panels in Sept. 2016.
